Earn crypto while  providing Internet access

Participants earn Wayru Tokens for expanding our network by deploying their own Internet Nodes to provide coverage using compatible WayruOS hardware.

Node Operators

WayruOS™ is a set of protocols that allow anyone to join the Decentralized Network and help expand coverage to connect more people.

Anyone can set up a Node with off-the-shelf hardware, share Internet access with people nearby, and start earning crypto rewards for running a Node in no time.

Once your Node is correctly configured, anyone with a Wi-Fi compatible device who is nearby can connect to your network.

You'll get rewards in Wayru Tokens for every connected user and have access to real-time analytics of the traffic used and rewards made.

Types of Nodes

Become a node Operator in your community

Micro Nodes

WayruOS™ is a protocol that allows anyone to join the network simply by connecting a compatible device to an Internet router.

Block Nodes

Block Nodes are the ones that provide the distribution layer to users in a community. These are the nodes that provide the access to the internet network using Wayru protocols

Link Nodes

Link Nodes interact with legacy telecommunications networks and process the routing of traffic to these networks back to the Internet.

Micro Nodes

WayruOS™ is a protocol that allows anyone to join the network simply by connecting a compatible device to an Internet router.

  • Anyone in the world can help people get online and get rewards for it. This can be done with most off-the-shelf Wi-Fi devices.

  • Simply configure the compatible device with Wayru’s protocols and then connect that device to your home router.

  • A network named WayruOS will appear available as your new Supercharged guest Wi-Fi.

  • Every time someone connected to your Wi-Fi and consumes data, you’ll be rewarded.

Block Nodes

Block Nodes are the ones that provide the distribution layer to users in a community. These are the nodes that provide the access to the internet network using Wayru protocols.

  • Block Nodes are deployed in different hardware configurations depending on the demand for usage and location.

  • Block nodes can connect anywhere from a few users all the way to an entire community.

  • Block Nodes are located in areas where connectivity is required.

  • Wayru will release a map of areas where Node Operators are required.

Link Nodes

Link Nodes interact with legacy telecommunications networks and process the routing of traffic to these networks back to the Internet.

  • Small ISPs and local entrepreneurs could cover this task, creating more jobs and benefits for their communities.

  • A Link node could be a tower with PtMP radios or a Fibre OLT to service the area targeted.

  • Each country requires a minimum of one Link Node in order to provide service.

  • Link Node operators are required to meet local regulations and have the necessary licenses to operate the service.

Wayru Network Deployment

Wayru aims to deploy the first 100 nodes to lay down the basic standards to follow before turning the power to the community. This will be done thanks to our early supporters, investors, and AirBlockers.

Wayru will strategically deploy Internet Hotspots in low-income communities in urban and rural areas in Latam.

Wayru's Internet Infrastructures in emerging countries will bring reliable and affordable connectivity to people who have been left in the dark by major providers.

The value of $WRU

Millions of compatible devices can use Wayru's Network and each device requires WiFi Credits (WC) in order to access the Internet.

WiFi Credits can be acquired with USDC/USD or with Wayru Tokens to receive discounts, meaning purchase demand will only increase as the network grows, thus making the Wayru Token stronger.

The fees from WiFi credits are returned to the protocol with 25% of these being utilized for protocol liquidity. This is achieved by buying Wayru tokens from the market and LPing the tokens with USDC, creating deep liquidity and long-term trading fee revenue.

Who will use the network?

Earning Wayru Token is not the only thing that happens when providing coverage, deploying a Hotspot helps people in your town get internet access, thus helping Wayru bring connectivity to every corner of the world.

New hardware and software solutions can be born by leveraging the average, ecosystem, and reach of Wayru's Network. A shared Internet grid can be home to new projects, solutions, and overall community building.
